Facebook has recently introduced Workplace, a social platform designed to help companies improve internal communications.
After having tested with more than a thousand organizations worldwide, Workplace is now available for any organization to use. This could, for example, prove to be an economical alternative for smaller service-based companies that need to communicate with a field force, or organizations that need to communicate with employees over multiple shifts.
With any communications platform, it's important to have a strategic plan in order to make the most of your messaging- with both internal and external constituents. While services like Workplace can be economical, if there's no plan or consistency in execution, they can only add to confusion in times of crisis.
